Niamey, 18 to 20 April 2024 - The first edition of the Niger Digital Week (SENUM24) recently took place in the capital of Niger. Organised by Niger's Ministry of Communication, Posts and the Digital Economy, the event brought together a range of influential players in the digital sector, both national and international, as well as a diversity of participants including entrepreneurs, investors, students and the general public.
Under the theme "Digital and Sovereignty", SENUM24 focused on celebrating the country's technological advances, stimulating innovation and promoting digital inclusion.
The honour of being guest of honour went to Burkina Faso, symbolising the importance of regional collaboration in the digital field.
The event was punctuated by a series of keynotes, panels, conferences and exhibitions. One of the key players was mHealth, which was present at the exhibition stands, giving participants the opportunity to discover its innovative potential.
Since its introduction in 2018, the MHealth health intelligence platform has been a driver of significant change in Niger's healthcare landscape. Developed by IT engineering company TICANALYSE, MHealth is revolutionising community health information management by enabling the collection, encryption, transmission, processing, analysis, visualisation and sharing of data, promoting informed decision-making and increased efficiency in the healthcare system.
In recognition of its innovative nature, MHealth was honoured with the second prize, presented by the Prime Minister of Niger, Head of Government Lamine Zeine Ali Mahamane, during this first edition of Digital Week in Niger. This prize comes on top of MHealth's previous recognition by the Pierre Fabre Foundation in 2019, underlining its significant impact in the field of healthcare.
