Since 2019, health intelligence platform mhealth has been used in Niger to improve health provision at community level and for better decision-making and greater efficiency in the health system.
To make a success of the digitisation of community health provided for in the National Community Health Strategic Plan (PSNSC) 2019-2023, the State of Niger, through the Ministry of Public Health, Population and Social Affairs, has deemed it necessary to set up a technical working group to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the digitisation of community health.
The aim of the Technical Working Group is to provide a framework for discussion, planning, coordination and monitoring of the implementation of the digitisation of community health with the main players involved.
The roles and responsibilities of the working group include the following:
- To provide stakeholders and decision-makers with an overview of the operational activities and results of the digitisation of community health;
- Contribute to the operational planning of activities for scaling up ;
- Help coordinate the players involved;
- Discuss the problems/issues encountered by all the players using the platform;
- Recommend measures to remedy any bottlenecks that may arise (by identifying and anticipating risks);
- Validate the main strategic and operational changes integrated into the platform;
- Propose advocacy actions to mobilise resources in order to facilitate the implementation of activities planned as part of local implementation and to ensure the sustainability of the scaling-up of the platform.
The Technical Working Group is chaired by the Director General of Public Health (DGSP) and has two vice-chairmen:

Three institutions are responsible for reporting:
- Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the DSC

- Head of the DS IT Division
